Why should I come to the Matlock RFC Bonfire event over other Firework events?
Our show is unlike any other Bonfire firework event you have likely ever been to. Our display will be to music with a huge lightshow too. We also have a children’s display earlier in the evening and entertainment too.
If there’s a children’s display, is the main display suitable for children of all ages?
Absolutely, whilst the children’s display is made up of completely quiet fireworks the main display will still be suitable for all.
What is on?
As well as food & drink, there will be live entertainment, lighting of a bonfire, a children’s firework display, fair rides, glow toys, sweet stands, a licenced bar and much, much more!
Where can I park?
Free parking will be available on the field at Cromford Meadows next to the cricket pavillion. On entry to the RFC car park on Mills Lane marshalls will guide you to a parking space
Can I bring food/drink in from outside?
There will be food and drink stalls available for purchase on the night
Someone is selling glow toys outside the event, can I bring these onsite?
Unfortunately we cannot permit any glow toy items purchased outside of the event
Can I bring my own fireworks?
Please do not bring your own fireworks or sparklers. These are a fire and safety risk and anyone with these items will not be permitted to enter the event.
Can I bring my dog to your event?
Only assistance dogs (Eg, guide dogs) will be permitted onto the site
Will Derby County get automatic promotion this season?
We can’t guarantee it, but we most certainly hope so!
What time are the different events on?
Gates open at 5pm, bonfire is lit at 6pm, kids display 6.30pm & main display 7.30pm. Fair rides open from 5pm til late.
Who shot the Sheriff?
We didn’t, and we definitely didn’t shoot the deputy
